in Emsworth

month supplying cakes and cookies inspired by the baking traditions of
North America. Blueberry Streusel, Mississippi Mud, and Hummingbird are

The Emsworth Business
Association and Independent Emsworth Businesses raise over £14,000 for
charity
In the last twelve months
Emsworth Business have raised over £14000 for local and national
charities.
The Business Association St
George's Celebrations raised a total £4083.56 was for The Army
Benevolent Fund, Lawrence & Julia Murphy at Fat Olives
raised a total of £6800.00 towards for cancer related charities and
at the Coal Exchange a sponsored walk to find the source of the River
Ems proved popular as it started and finished at a pub and passed six
others on route raising over £1000 for the Wessex Neurological Centre.
All together over a dozen
charities benefited from the enthusiasm and generosity of the residents
and business of Emsworth.
THE EBA AND PASTORAL
CENTRE HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AS THE RECIPIENTS OF THE COMMUNITY SUPPORT CARD
SCHEME RUN BY THE CO-OP IN EMSWORTH FOR 2011-2
The Emsworth Business Association has been chosen as
one of the organisations to benefit from the Community Card Schemes in
Emsworth for June 2011-2012. The other organisation is the Emsworth
Pastoral Centre.
This is fantastic news
and we ask that everyone gets a card and uses it every time you shop in
Emsworth Co-op. The total amount that potentially could be raised for
the EBA through the scheme is £10,000. Fund raising began on 9th
June 2011 and end date is 8 June 2012. Ask at the Emsworth Co-op for
your card to get this rolling.
A launch event is in the process of being organised.
the EBA will promote the card scheme at every opportunity and will be
visible outside the Co-op on various Saturdays .throughout the time.
The aim is to raise a significant amount to benefit
the EBA/ Pastoral Centre and subsequently the local community of
Emsworth.
although the cards are available for use now the
scheme will be officially launched at the Emsworth Show on August 29th.

Ken Godfrey is tracing back his
ancestry and this has lead to a Win and Harry RANDALL who married
in Wells and had lived in Emsworth in the 1960’s. He is aware they had a
daughter Janice who he believes married an Allan GUNN.

Warblington Church Restoration
Work on restoration is is nearly complete
and the church should be open again shortly. Currently the last
remaining task is under way; the cleaning of the organ and its
many pipes.
23 July It’s a Knock Out Emsworth Park Organised by
FitBeat It's a Knock Out will be held on July 23rd 2011 in
Emsworth Park to mark the one year countdown to the London 2012
Olympic Games. The whole community is invited to enjoy the day,
but if you want to be at the centre of the action, then why not
sign up for the It’s a Knock Competition which will be held in
the main arena throughout the day.
In signing up, you will be donating directly
to our partner charity, Wessex Heartbeat. So what better reason
to sign up than having fun whilst supporting one of the region’s

stepping stones to inflatable volley ball, space hopper grand

participating will receive a special prize….and there’s always
