The activities we are providing are:
as last year
a) nature hunt and nature trail
b) wishing tree
c) willow weaving workshops

running all day
d) May crowns workshops * different workshop but same workshop leader as
last year* running all day
d) storytelling *same
storyteller as last year* (2 x 30
minute sessions)
e) wildlife displays and information about the group
The two workshop leaders and the storyteller charge a fee. But generous
funding from the ERA and Havant Rotary will pay for the two workshop
leaders.

f) Maypole dancing:
4th Emsworth Brownies (1x 15 minute session)
g) Circle dancing: group from Chichester (1 x 30 minute session)
h) Two in Accord : accordion players to accompany the dancing
i) Woodcarving demonstrations: Solent Woodcarvers and sculptors
j) Sow-a-seed and plant stall: Emsworth Horticultural
Society
k) youth percussion band: Music Fusion
All of the NEW events are free apart from h) the accordion players who
charge BMCG a fee.
Light refreshments will also be available.
Entrance is free but a small charge will be made for the workshops as we did
in previous years.
We have borrowed two Maypoles: one from the Gatekeepers Trust and the other
from Rowlands Castle Primary school.
We hope to use the same basic arrangement as last year using the large
marquee and 3-4 gazebos. We do not want to use tents unless we have to.

to help with this very successful annual community event?
I have listed the main tasks for which help is needed.
The tasks include:
before
* putting up posters round Emsworth and the surrounding area
* putting up boards at entrances to Emsworth
morning of the event
* putting up direction boards on roads near roundabout, etc
* getting all the equipment onto the meadow
* erecting the marquee and gazebos on the morning of the event
* putting up tables and chairs
* decorating the entrances
* putting out the nature trail boards
the event
* manning the entrances, giving out stickers
* giving out and collecting nature hunt sheets
* manning the BMCG stall
* taking bookings for the workshops
* looking after the refreshments table
* helping with the wishing stars
* putting it all away
Please let me know if you can help and for how long. Even a couple of hours
will be very useful.
