Christian Aid supporters in Emsworth raised more than £200 with some festive fun, to support vulnerable communities around the world.
The international development
charity has been running its
2023 Christmas Appeal and
this year is shining a light on stories from a region of
Bangladesh where young women are working to change their
futures.
Supporters around the UK have been getting involved by
taking part in carol concerts and holding collections.
Emsworth Christian Aid Group joined in with carol singing in
Emsworth Square. Event organiser Gill Cooper said: “We are a
group of people from the Emsworth churches who feel
passionately about helping the most vulnerable people of the
world.
“The
carol singing went well and we collected £183 on the day as
well as having further donations since then, making a total
of £235.”
