In April Tom (The Girls and Boys' Football Coach) & I thought it would be a nice idea for the children to come together as Football teams to compete in the Great South Run 2023 Mini & Juniors. We put it out to the children and parents and they were extremely up for the challenge. The Teams are both part of Emsworth Town Youth Football Club. Tom coaches both Emsworth Terrors U8 & Emsworth Pearls U12, The Terrors ran the Mini race which was 1.2km & the Pearls ran the Junior Race which was 2.5km. Ensworth Town football team has always been keen to make sure the teams are "family" teams and not only focused on the football but developing a family atmosphere and a feeling of togetherness.

Each one of the Terrors has a responsible adult that ran with them and also some of their siblings decided they would like to run and raise some money for charity. After speaking to some of the children about who we should raise money for, the children really wanted to support children who aren't as fortunate as them and that's when we decided on the charity "Action for Children" Their vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood and the foundations they need to thrive. They work hard to protect and support children and young people. They do this by providing practical and emotional care and support.  

Our children & parents have worked hard over the past few months sharing our charity page and collecting donations. In total the children have raised a total of £852 for Action for Children and we are all extremely proud of each and everyone of them.
