Langstone Millpond to Wade Lane – Public Drop-in Session
Last month an independent technical report was published into options for the future of the failing sea defences between Wade Lane and Langstone Millpond. On Tuesday 12th December at 12-7pm in the Hurstwood Room, Public Service Plaza, Civic Centre Road, there will be a public drop-in session at Havant Civic Centre. This will provide an opportunity to discuss the options and ask questions of the independent consultants.
The drop-in session will provide an opportunity to ask
questions about the options presented in the report.
There will be visual representations of the options showing
how the site may look in the future. The author of the
technical report, Claire Mellet from the consultants Royal
Haskoning DHV, will be on hand to answer questions.
There will also be representatives from Coastal Partners,
Natural England (until 3pm), Havant Borough Council and
Chichester Harbour Conservancy.
A section of the brick wall sea defences between Wade Lane
and Langstone Millpond has failed. Footpath 108/56/2 runs
alongside this section of the seawall and currently this
remains open and accessible to the public.
