This article is about keeping you up to date on Havant’s Local Plan. You can now submit views on the Draft Building a Better Future Plan – which will be the new Local Plan for Havant Borough. The Building a Better Future Plan will be an important strategy, required by law, that will help decide, manage and shape development in the Borough.

The Draft Building a Better Future Plan recognises local needs to help secure relevant housing and commercial development and infrastructure, looks at what safeguards are needed to protect the environment and once adopted, will carry considerable weight in informing local planning decisions.

To view the Draft Building a Better Future Plan, supporting information on the proposals in the plan and to submit your views via the online survey, please follow this link - www.havant.gov.uk/localplan. The consultation is open from Tuesday 6 May until 11:45pm on Tuesday 1 July 2025.
