The
Solent Male Voice Choir have invited the Ukranian Volya
Choir, from Chichester, to join them at St Faith’s Church in
Havant on Saturday 8th June for a concert of
Songs For Summer.
The Ukranian Volya Choir was formed
by refugees who have fled from the Ukraine who decided,
before Christmas 2022, to get together to sing Ukranian
Carols. From that simple thought the Volya Choir
began. Since then the Volya Choir has sung at more
than twenty-five events in Chichester and West Sussex.
The Solent Male Voice Choir are
excited to be performing alongside and with the Volya Choir.
It will be a fascinating and varied concert with the choirs
singing their own music as well as joining together for some
items.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and
tickets, £10 (accompanied children free) are available in
advance through the SMVC website. There will,
hopefully, be some tickets available on the door.
