Emsworth pub supports Sage House, raising vital funds for dementia care
Kings Arms Pub raises nearly
£10,000 for Sage House through community fundraising.

Sage House, the specialist dementia
support hub run by Dementia Support, is delighted to
announce that the Kings Arms in Emsworth has raised over
£10,000 for the charity through a series of fundraising
activities this year.
Landlord Gavin Reid told Sage House
that the pub chose them as their charity for 2025, inspired
by the experiences of local families who have benefited from
the hub’s specialist services. From the start, staff,
customers, and local residents have come together to raise
an impressive total.
A major highlight was the pub’s
much-loved Kings Fest, their annual summer music festival
led by Julian Gannon, where live music, food, entertainment,
and community spirit combined to raise vital funds and
awareness for Sage House. The event drew crowds from across
Emsworth and beyond, shining a spotlight on dementia support
in the region.
In addition, three loyal Kings Arms
customers, Shaun, Phil, and Joshua took on the challenging
Surrey Three Peaks, motivated by personal connections to
Sage House and family members who have benefited from its
services. Their efforts further boosted fundraising for the
charity.
Together, these activities raised
nearly £10,000, which will help Sage House continue
providing vital services, including wayfinding support, day
breaks, therapies, carer guidance, and emotional support for
people living with dementia and their families.
Lisa Hoare, Fundraising and
Relationships Lead at Sage House, said: "We are deeply
grateful to the Kings Arms team, their customers, and
everyone who took part. Their generosity will help us
continue providing life-changing support for families living
with dementia. Community partnerships like this truly make a
difference."
Sage House extends heartfelt thanks
to the Kings Arms community for their compassion and
commitment to supporting local families affected by
dementia.
